Removing And Installing Battery Cover

WARNING: Caustic fluids 
  • Danger of chemical burns 

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Ensure that there is good ventilation.

    → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

    → if you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

WARNING: Static battery charge 
  • Battery can explode 
  • Electrical discharges 

    → Do not rub the battery with a dry cloth.

Installation position of battery

Information 

Switch off all loads and remove the ignition key.

  1. When removing the carpeted floor for the first time, cut along the perforation using a carpet knife.
  2. Unscrew screw -1-  and remove air guide -2-  .

    Removing battery cover

  3. Ope i the tension hooks -arrows-  on the battery cover -3-  using a suitable tool.
  4. Remove battery cover -3-  .
  5. The battery cover -3-  is installed in reverse order to removal.
  6. Tighten screw -1-  . > Tightening torque 2 (1.5 ftlb.) Nm  .
