Installing Coolant Pump

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally.

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

Clean sealing faces. Fit coolant pump with new seal.

Tighten fastening screws.

Tightening sequence for coolant pump
NOTE:
Incorrect handling of pulley
- Risk of damage to pulley
  → The pulley is sensitive to impact. Do not prise off the pulley with a screwdriver.
  
  → Do not re-use a damaged pulley.
Fit the pulley on the coolant pump. Screw in the three fastening screws by hand.
Tighten the three fastening screws on the coolant pump pulley. Block the pulley with a > Nr.38 - brace if necessary.
