Removing Sealing Ring For Crankshaft (Transmission Side)

- Use the > Nr.167 - drift punch, 1-mm tip to drive a small hole at a non-rubberised spot (rectangular window in the ring) on the sealing ring. > Drift punch

- Screw in the extractor tip. Use the > Nr.168 - slide hammer kit to knock out the extractor tip together with the sealing ring. Alternatively, you can screw in a suitable tapping screw and pull out the sealing ring using a pliers. > Knocking out sealing ring

- Clean the crankshaft flange. The crankshaft flange must not be dirty or rusty. Clean it with brake cleaner and sand off any rust with a metal-polishing pad (e.g. Never Dull) if necessary. > Cleaning the crankshaft flange
