Installing Struts

Information 

The press-in screws on the rear-axle carrier side section must be free of grease and oil residues! Check press-in screws before installation and clean them if necessary.

1. Install struts -2-

2. Tighten screws/nuts on the struts.

   Struts/rear axle support plate

   Struts to body -1-  : > initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.)  v > final tightening + 90° 

   Strut to rear-axle cross member -2-  : > Tightening torque 65 Nm (47.9 ftlb.) 

   Strut with support plate to rear-axle carrier side section -4-  :> Tightening torque 65 Nm (47.9 ftlb.)
