Subsequent Work

NOTIFICATION 

Risk of damage to cover if excessive heat is applied. 

• Creases in cover 

→ If creases have formed, only short partial warming with the hot-air gun is permissible.

→ The hot-air temperature of 50°C must always be observed.

1. On vehicles with leather seats:

   If creases have formed, partially heat the affected areas of the front seat cover with a hot-air gun and smooth out the cover using the following special tools:

   > 9747 - Wetting-off iron 

   > 9747/1 - Knurling iron 

   > 9747/2 - Bone burnisher 

   >V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower 

2. Valid for removing and installing cover on front passenger's seat  on vehicles with equipment I-no. 899 - ISOFIX mounting points for child seat on passenger's seat. 

   Install ISOFIX bracket > Installing ISOFIX bracket  .

3. Install trim panel for seat.

   > 721619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRIM PANEL FOR SEAT

4. Remove front seat from assembly fixture.

   > Refer to Mounting front seat on assembly fixture in appropriate service information

5. Install front seat.

> 720119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT
