Replacing Air-Cleaner Element

- Clean the air cleaner housing:
Remove salt residues, dirt or leaves from the upper and lower part of the air cleaner housing using a suction device.
- Disconnect the air guide at the connection points to the air cleaner housing.
Removing air guide at the side
- Remove air cleaner housing cover.
To do this, loosen eight screws (4 at the top, 4 at the bottom).
Information
- Always use an original air-cleaner element.
- The air cleaner housing must always be perfectly clean.
- Use (silicone-free) sliding compound for fitting the air guide hoses.
- Secure all hose connections with standard hose clamps.
- Always check the following when blowing out the air cleaner housing: To avoid malfunctions, cover critical air-supply components, such as air guide pipes, etc. with a clean cloth.
- Observe disposal regulations!
- Take air-cleaner element out of the housing.
- Check the water drain and blow out the water drain at the bottom of the air cleaner housing using compressed air if necessary.
- Insert new filter element in the housing. Check that the filter element is seated correctly.
- Installation is performed in reverse order.
