Removing Cylinder Head Cover For Cylinders 4 - 6

Information 

Replace sealing rings, seals and O-rings.

Information 

• Fuel lines must not be bent. 
• Bent fuel lines must be replaced. 

Information 

For better access in the engine compartment, use support 9866  .

• Fit support -1- instead of torque support. 
• The engine can be moved by turning the hexagon (a/f 17) to the left or right -arrows-  .

1. Disconnect coolant line.
   1. 1.1. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  .

2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and -2-  .
3. Swivel B+ wiring harness -3-  aside.

4. Loosen union nut for high-pressure line -5-  on fuel collection pipe.

   Information 

   • Fuel lines must not be bent. 
   • Bent fuel lines must be replaced. 
5. Swivel high-pressure line -5-  aside.

6. Unscrew fastening screws -1 to 14-  .

   Replace aluminum screws.

7. Remove cylinder head cover.
   1. 7.1. Remove tappet -6-  from the cylinder head cover.
