Removing Cylinder Head Cover For Cylinders 1 - 3

Information 

Replace sealing rings, seals and O-rings.

Information 

Attach all tie-wraps at the same places during installation.

Information 

For better access in the engine compartment, use support 9866  .

• Fit support -1- instead of torque support. 
• The engine can be moved by turning the hexagon (a/f 17) to the left or right -arrows-  .

1. Loosen fastening screw -1-  .

2. Loosen union nut for high-pressure line -1-  on fuel collection pipe.

   Information 

   • Fuel lines must not be bent. 
   • Bent fuel lines must be replaced. 
3. Swivel high-pressure line -1-  aside.

4. Disconnect tank vent line -2-  and vacuum line -3-  .
5. Unclip wiring harness -4-  .

6. Unscrew fastening screws -1 to 14 -  .

   Replace aluminum screws.

7. Remove cylinder head cover.
   1. 7.1. Remove tappet -6-  from the cylinder head cover.
