Installing Cylinder Head Cover For Cylinders 4 - 6

Information 

Replace sealing rings, seals and O-rings.

Information 

Attach all tie-wraps at the same places during installation.

Information 

• Fuel lines must not be bent. 
• Bent fuel lines must be replaced. 

Information 

• Replace aluminum screws. 
• Always observe specified tightening sequence. 

Information 

For better access in the engine compartment, use support 9866  .

• Fit support -1- instead of torque support. 
• The engine can be moved by turning the hexagon (a/f 17) to the left or right -arrows-  .

1. Install cylinder head cover.
   1. 1.1. Insert tappet -6-  for high-pressure pump into the cylinder head cover.

   Information 

   • Replace aluminum screws. 
   • Always observe specified tightening sequence. 
2. Tighten fastening screws -1 to 14-  .

   Information

3. Position high-pressure line -5-  .
4. Tighten union nut for high-pressure line -5-  on fuel collection pipe.

5. Position B+ wiring harness -3-  .
6. Tighten fastening screws -1-  and -2-  . Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

7. Secure coolant line.
