Installing Cylinder Head Cover For Cylinders 1 - 3

Information 

Replace sealing rings, seals and O-rings.

Information 

Attach all tie-wraps at the same places during installation.

Information 

For better access in the engine compartment, use support 9866  .

• Fit support -1- instead of torque support. 
• The engine can be moved by turning the hexagon (a/f 17) to the left or right -arrows-  .

1. Install cylinder head cover.
   1. 1.1. Insert tappet -6-  for high-pressure pump into the cylinder head cover.

   Information 

   • Replace aluminum screws. 
   • Always observe specified tightening sequence. 
2. Tighten fastening screws -1 to 14 -  .

3. Clip in wiring harness -4-  .
4. Clip in tank vent line -2-  and vacuum line -3-  .

   Information 

   • Fuel lines must not be bent. 
   • Bent fuel lines must be replaced. 
5. Position high-pressure line -1-  .
6. Tighten union nut used to secure high-pressure line -1-  to fuel collection pipe using a suitable torque wrench, adapter Nr.98-1 Pos.2  and open-jawed wrench insert Nr.95 Pos.2  .

7. Tighten fastening screw -1-  .
