Removing Timing Chain
NOTE:
Timing chain running direction not maintained
- Risk of damage to sprockets
→ Mark running direction of timing chains.
- Locking pin T40071 must be removed before removing the left timing chain.
- Unscrew screws -1- and -2- and remove the right chain tensioner.
- Remove timing chain.
- 3.1. Press guide rail on chain tensioner for the timing chain over the timing drive mechanism in -direction of arrow- and lock the chain tensioner with the locking pin T40071 .
- 3.2. Remove screw -1- for the bearing pin for the drive sprocket.
- 3.3. Pull off drive sprocket and bearing pin and remove the right timing chain by pulling it up.
