Mark cut A in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.
- Mark and make cuts. → Distance: 320 mm → Distance: 80 mm

The insulating mat will be damaged irreparably during removal and must be replaced.
- Heat up insulating mat with a hot-air gun and remove it.
Information
Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.
- Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld drill .
- Drill through clinch points using a → Diameter: 6.5 mm

Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.
- Drill out clinch points on the side panel as far as the plate lying underneath (closing panel) from the outside.
- Bend up edge of wheel arch.
- 6.1. Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.
- 6.2. Bend up edge of wheel arch.
- Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.
- Remove rear side panel.
