Preliminary Work For PASM Control Unit

  1. If a new control unit has to be installed, the values/coding must be read out using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818  prior to removing the "old" PASM control unit. → 431655 REPLACING PASM CONTROL UNIT .
  2. Detach part of the side trim panel for the rear luggage compartment at the left and fold it forward.

    → 700319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE TRIM PANEL FOR REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT

  3. Pull control unit for rear-differential lock out of the holder and set it aside. → 397519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR REAR-DIFFERENTIAL LOCK .
