Removing Heating/Fresh Air Unit

Information 

The heat exchanger connection must be closed off using suitable stoppers after disconnecting the coolant hoses.

1. Disconnect heat exchanger return hose → 803219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEAT EXCHANGER RETURN HOSE .
2. Disconnect heat exchanger supply hose → 803019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEAT EXCHANGER SUPPLY HOSE .
3. Disconnect refrigerant hoses at the expansion valve → 877019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING EXPANSION VALVE .
4. Pull connections for condensed water drain tubes -1-  at the left and right out of the body tunnel (-arrow-  ).

5. Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the fan control -1-  .

6. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for servo motors -1-  .

7. Pull rubber straps -1-  out of the anchoring device -2-  (-arrow-  ).

8. Gently pull the connection pieces -2-  for the cooling and heating media at the heating/fresh-air unit towards the passenger compartment -arrow-  and out of the rubber sleeves -1-  in the firewall cover.

9. Remove heating/fresh-air unit by pulling it towards the passenger compartment.
