Loosening Main Wire Harness In Passenger Compartment At The Right
NOTE:
Incorrect handling of main wire harness
- Risk of damage to lines
→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.
→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.
→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.
- Release and pull off electric plug connection for seat heating for side cushion. → REMOVING SIDE CUSHION
- Remove cable cover at the wheel housing.
- 2.1. Unscrew fastening nut -1- .
- 2.2. Unclip fixing clip -2- .
- 2.3. Lift up cable cover -4- (-arrow A- ).
- 2.4. Pull cable cover -4- out of the locking mechanism -3- (-arrow B- ).
- 2.5. Loosen main wire harness.
- Loosen rubber sleeve and release and disconnect electric plug connection for TPM transmitter (trigger). → REMOVE TRANSMITTER FOR TMP AT FRONT
- Unclip and remove supply line to TPM transmitter (trigger).
- Release and pull off electric plug connection for rear right airbag sensor. → REMOVING AIRBAG SENSOR
- Remove cable cover on rear inner sill.
- 6.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on cable cover.
- 6.2. Remove cable cover. -arrows A and B-
- Unclip main wire harness.
- Detach rubber sleeve for fuel level sensor and fuel pump control unit.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for fuel level sensor. → REMOVING FUEL-LEVEL SENSOR
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for fuel pump control unit → REMOVING CONTROL UNIT FOR FUEL PUMP
- Unclip and disconnect supply line to fuel level sensor and fuel pump control unit.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for rear backrest.
- Remove electric plug connection for door electrics.
- 13.1. Open rear door of the vehicle and detach rubber protection on wiring arrangement for door electrics from the B-pillar.
- 13.2. Release mounting housing -1- (-arrow A- ) and remove it from the B-pillar.
- 13.3. Release electric plug connection for door electrics -arrow B- and disconnect it -arrow C- .
- 13.4. Remove supply line for door electrics from the B-pillar.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for air vent lighting at the B-pillar.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for seat-belt pretensioner. → REMOVING FRONT THREE-POINT BELT
- Release electric plug connection for seat connection -1- (-arrow A- ) and remove it from the bracket -arrow B- .
- Loosen fastening nut for ground point -2- under the passenger's seat and remove supply line -arrow C- .
- Unclip supply line for air-conditioning system sensor and servo motors for the rear footwell and release and disconnect electric plug connection → REMOVING AIR VENT
- Release cable duct on passenger's seat.
- 19.1. Unscrew fastening nut -1- on passenger's seat.
- 19.2. Pull cable duct -arrow- up and release it from the retaining clip.
- Unclip and disconnect main wire harness at the front inner sill. -arrow-
- Loosen fastening nut -1- for ground point at the A-pillar and remove supply line -arrow- .
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for center airbag sensor. → REMOVING AIRBAG SENSOR
- Release cable duct at the A-pillar.
- 23.1. Unscrew fastening nut -1- for cable duct.
- 23.2. Release cable duct -2- by pulling it -arrow- off the fixing clip.
