Installing Inner Rear Wheel Housing

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Apply adhesive. → Application depth: 3.0 mm

2. Fit (inner) rear wheel housing and secure in installation position.

3. Rivet in (inner) rear wheel housing.
   1. -a-  → blind rivet 000.043.207.57
   2. -b-  → blind rivet 000.043.207.58

4. Resistance spot-weld the (inner) rear wheel housing.

5. Spot-weld the (inner) rear wheel housing using inert gas.

6. Install (outer) rear wheel housing.

   → 536855 replacing (outer) rear wheel housing 

7. Install center side member.

   → 514855 replacing center side member

8. Install rear closing panel.

   → 530555 replacing rear closing panel
