Removing A-Pillar

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark cut B  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Mark and make cuts. → Distance: 350 mm

2. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill Nr.129  .

3. Remove welded joints on A-pillar.

   Information 

   Drill out spotwelds A  through two plate thicknesses.

   1. 3.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill Nr.129  .
   2. 3.2. Grind down MIG seam -B-  .

4. Heat up connection area using a hot-air gun.

5. Remove A-pillar.
