Preliminary Work

  1. If a new control unit has to be installed, the values/coding must be read out using PIWIS Tester II 9818  prior to removing the "old" DME control unit. → WM 247055 REPLACING DME CONTROL UNIT  , → WM 247019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DME CONTROL UNIT  .
  2. Lift up cowl panel cover. → 508719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COWL PANEL COVER .
  3. Remove rubber beading in front of the cross panel.
  4. Unscrew the two fastening screws on the cross panel section at the right and lift up the cross panel section.

    → 508119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CROSS PANEL (DISASSEMBLING PLENUM PANEL)
