Installing Secondary-Air Pump

Information 

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally (→ 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS ).

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

Information 

Always follow the instructions in the central information when using aluminum screws and magnesium components. → 1001IN INFORMATION ON WORKING WITH ALUMINUM SCREWS AND MAGNESIUM COMPONENTS - IMPORTANT!

1. Fit secondary-air pump -5-  . Screw in and tighten fastening screws -4-  .

   Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

2. Insert secondary air hose -3-  and secure hose clamp -2-  .
3. Clip in cable plug on the holder and plug it in -1-  .
