Preliminary Work

  1. If the control unit has to be replaced, the values must be read out beforehand using PIWIS Tester II 9818  . → 903555 REPLACING GATEWAY CONTROL UNIT 
  2. Remove the battery. → REMOVING BATTERY .
  3. Unscrew the three fastening nuts on the fuse and relay carrier.
  4. Lift up the fuse and relay carrier and set it aside.


  1. Remove rear left part of C-pillar trim.→ REMOVING REAR PART OF C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL
