Teaching Additional/Telephone Handset

CAUTION: Voltage drop
  • Risk of damage to control unit
  • Fault entries in the control unit
  • Coding in the control unit is aborted
  • Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming

→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.

→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A  to the vehicle battery.

Information 

Later versions of the software may display slightly different text or require a slightly different procedure. The instructions you receive from the Tester itself take precedence over this description.

  1. PIWIS Tester II 9818  must be connected to the vehicle before starting the Tester. Switch on ignition.
  2. Select the vehicle type and start the diagnostic application.
  3. Select PCM  control unit and Drive links/checks  and press [F12] to continue.
  4. Engage telephone handset in the charging cradle.
  5. Select the Teach handset  function and press [F12].
  6. Start the activation process by pressing [F8].
  7. Follow the instructions on the Tester. The entry Activation (value = on)  is required. Press [F11] to go back.
  8. Check the function of the handset.
