Installing All-Wheel Final Drive
Information
The fastening screw can only be removed and fitted when the assembly is removed.
Information
- Transmission oil can leak out when removing the four-wheel final drive.
- Attach right side of final drive to engine.
- 1.1. Tighten fastening screws for all-wheel final drive in the prescribed sequence. → Mounting, final drive to engine, right side Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
- Attach cross-shaft carrier to left side of engine.
- 2.1. Carefully guide the final drive transmission shaft into the oil pan shaft channel.
Tighten the cross-shaft carrier threaded joints in the prescribed sequence. → Mounting, final drive to engine, left side Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
Thinly coat the inner splines at the end of the connecting shaft with AntiSeize .
- 2.1. Carefully guide the final drive transmission shaft into the oil pan shaft channel.
- Replace circlip on input flange of all-wheel final drive.
- Install hydraulic pump.→ INSTALLING HYDRAULIC PUMP
- Install air-conditioning compressor. → INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR
- Install engine mount. → 103519 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING ENGINE MOUNT
- Fit engine mount on cross-shaft engine carrier. → 103519 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING ENGINE MOUNT
- Fit the impact puller 9799 using 4 screws -1- to the groove in the connecting shaft.
- Attach connecting shaft to the all-wheel final drive and fit using impact puller 9799 until the ring → Removing and fitting connecting shaft is visible on the transmission.
- Remove impact puller 9799 .
- Once you have fitted the connecting shaft, check that it is locked correctly.
- Install the heat shield for the all-wheel final drive.
