Removing Sealing Ring For Cardan Flange

Information 

• A new nut or a new cardan flange cannot be installed 
• If the cardan flange or nut is damaged, the rear final drive must be replaced completely. 
• To ensure that the nut will be fitted at the correct installation position, mark the position of the nut before loosening it. 

1. Remove cardan flange.
   1. 1.1. Mark the position of the nut with respect to the shaft -arrow-  .
   2. 1.2. Loosen the nut -1-  using a long 12-point socket (a/f 32).
   3. 1.3. Remove cardan flange -2-  . Pull it off using three-arm puller Nr.112-1  if necessary.

2. Remove sealing ring for cardan flange using striker VW 771/1  and extraction tool VW 771/37  .
