Preparing A-Pillar For Installation

Fit the A-pillar.
1. 1.1. Cut the A-pillar at the transition point to the body leaving an overlap of 30 mm.

2. 1.2. Fit the A-pillar.
  Check gap dimensions. → 5X00IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS

3. 1.3. Make cuts through the A-pillar and body in the overlap areas.
4. 1.4. Remove A-pillar.
Drill a hole for plug-welding using inert gas using an 8.0-mm drill bit.

Make 5 new holes for plug-welding using inert gas using a body hole punch.

Prepare connection areas for bonding.

Apply 2K acoustic body filler foam "AFS Vario" . → 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY FOAM FILLER
