Setting Blind Rivets
The drilled punch rivets and penetrated joints are replaced with high-strength blind rivets during repairs. Contrary to standard procedure, all rivet joints are also bonded.
- Copy the existing holes to the new replacement part and pre-drill using a 6.5-mm drill bit.
- Fit and secure body parts.
- Drill through both parts using a 6.6-mm twist drill Nr.201 .
- Countersink the outer body part using a suitable countersink tool in order to fit countersunk-head rivets.
- De-burr all bore holes.
