Installing Secondary-Air Pump With Bracket

Information 

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally (→ 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS ).

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

Information 

Always follow the instructions in the central information when using aluminum screws and magnesium components. → 1001IN INFORMATION ON WORKING WITH ALUMINUM SCREWS AND MAGNESIUM COMPONENTS - IMPORTANT!

1. Move the secondary-air pump into installation position.
   1. 1.1. Fit cable plug -1-  .

   2. 1.2. Fit the design cover. → INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER)
   3. 1.3. Slide on secondary-air line and fit spring band clamp.
   4. 1.4. Fit new screws on the bracket -4-  and fit the bracket on the valve cover. Replace the connecting screws when separating the bracket and secondary-air pump -3-  .
