Removing (Inner) Rear Wheel Housing

  1. Remove (outer) rear wheel housing. → Removing (Outer) Rear Wheel Housing 
  2. Remove outer side member. → 514555 replacing outer side member
  3. Loosen welded joints.
    1. 3.1. Grind down mig seam -arrow-  .

      Information 

      Drill out spotwelds A  through two plate thicknesses.

    2. 3.2. Drill out spotwelds using Spotweld drill   .

    Information 

    Only use the Twist drill nr.201  (diameter: 6.6 mm) as rivets will be set in this area during installation.

    Drill out spotwelds A  through two plate thicknesses.

  4. Drill out spotwelds using Twist drill nr.201  (diameter: 6.6 mm).

  5. Mill off spotweld using a Spherical cutter  .

  6. Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.

  7. Remove (inner) rear wheel housing.
