General Procedure

  1. Clean the surface to be treated to obtain good light reflection.
  2. Mark dent using the wax chalk.
  3. Assess accessibility to the dent.
  4. Look for the best access, even if this is difficult for some areas.
  5. Removing body parts in accordance with the service information . When doing so, always be careful with safety-critical components, such as airbags, seat-belt tensioners, electronic components, cables, etc.
  6. Locate dent using locating lamp and find the tool tip on the metal panel.
  7. Work by the clock method described below.
  8. Work calmly and patiently.
  9. When working on bumps or bulges, it is much better to tap the metal gently and repeatedly rather than using one heavy strike.
  10. When using knife tools and cutter tools, proceed with care as these tools can easily cause the panel to buckle.
  11. Sand down rough areas and high points with a sanding block (P2000 - 4000) and then polish them.
  12. After removing the dent, seal the area of the repair with wax or cavity protection.
