This repair method is a cost-effective repair that may have quality implications. To achieve the best repair result, always use the tool recommended by Porsche and attend the special training courses run by the tool/system suppliers.

Information

Some damage cannot be worked back into shape using this method because of reinforced or bonded body parts. Each area of damage must be assessed individually.

Dents in sheet steel and aluminum panels caused by hail, bumps when parking (knocks against edge of door), chestnuts and so forth can be rectified by dent repairs using the reshaping methods. With this method, dents are pressed out point-by-point from behind the metal panel using special dent removal tools and then polished.

The progress of the repair is assessed using the reflected lines of a neon lamp on the outer side of the metal panel. → Before and after

Small dents that are not accessible from the rear can be 'pulled out' using bonding techniques dent repair removal tool VAS 6364 WE 1361 if the strength of the adhesive bond and the adhesion of the paint work allow. To this end, an adhesive adapter is stuck to the center of the dent with a special adhesive. The dent is pulled out carefully in a controlled manner using a slide hammer puller.
