Removing Headliner
Information
Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.
- Fold over the backrest for the rear right seat.
- Move the driver's seat back as far as it will go.
- Move the backrest on the driver's seat all the way back.
- Unclip headliner at the fixing clips close to the sliding-roof cut-out (only on vehicles with a sliding roof).
- 4.1. Check the fixing clips on the headliner close to the sliding-roof cut-out for deformation and replace them if necessary.
- Unclip fastening parts of the headliner in the rear area.
- 5.1. Check fixing clips on the headliner for deformation and replace them if necessary.
- To avoid damage, mask the body aperture of the rear right door in the corner areas with strips of adhesive tape -1- .
- Open the driver, passenger and rear left door.
- Remove headliner.
- 8.1. Three people are needed in order to remove the headliner.
- 8.1.1. Position of first person: Driver's door
- 8.1.2. Position of second person: Passenger's door
- 8.1.3. Position of third person: Rear right door
- 8.2. Place the front right corner of the headliner on the dashboard.
- 8.3. Carefully press the front left corner and the rear right and left corners -A- of the headliner inwards slightly.
- 8.4. Guide the headliner out until the cut-out in the B-pillar at the right engages in the step -arrow-

Information
The vehicle must be raised by approx. 30 cm for this step.
- 8.5. Remove headliner completely through the rear right door.
- 8.1. Three people are needed in order to remove the headliner.
