Removing Front Part Of C-Pillar Trim Panel

Information 

To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

1. Unclip cover for backrest adjustment mechanism.

2. Move backrest into center position.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  for backrest section.

4. Swivel backrest section forward and unclip it in an upward direction.

5. Disconnect plug connection.
6. Unclip electric wire harness at the C-pillar trim panel.
7. Loosen fixing clip -C-  .
8. Release plug connections -a-  and pull them off -B-  .

9. Remove armrest extension.
   1. 9.1. Lever off cover for armrest extension -2-  .
   2. 9.2. Unscrew fastening screw -3-  .

   3. 9.3. Remove armrest extension -4-  .

10. Mark installation position for belt fitting -5-  (-6-  ).

11. Unscrew fastening screw -7-  from belt fitting -5-  .

12. Unscrew fastening screws -8-  at the top.

13. Unscrew fastening screws -8-  at the bottom.

14. Unclip front part of C-pillar trim panel.
    1. 14.1. Loosen inner fixing clips -A-  .
    2. 14.2. Loosen outer fixing clips -B-  .
    3. 14.3. Loosen fixing clips at the bottom -C-  .

15. Feed the belt through the opening in the trim panel.
