Removing Front Brake Calliper (18-Inch - Brake Calliper Colour: Silver/Red)

NOTE:
- To gain better access for removal of the brake calliper, turn the steering fully either to the right or left .
Overview of front brake calliper (18-inch)
- Loosen holder -1-
for brake line, wear indicator and speed sensor on the wheel bearing housing.

- Pull contact for brake pad wear indicator -1-
out carefully and release holder for line -2-
.

NOTE: Removal of brake calliper- Paint defects on brake calliper
→ Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
→ Protect brake calliper from paint defects using a suitable cloth.
- Set the disc brake pads back slightly and uniformly using water pump pliers.
- Disconnect the brake line -arrow-
at the brake calliper and collect brake fluid in a suitable container.

- Close off brake line using a suitable stopper.NOTE:
- Never use an impact bolter to loosen and tighten the brake calliper on the wheel bearing housing .
- Loosen fastening screws -arrows-
and remove brake calliper from the wheel carrier.
