Removing Microswitches On Convertible-Top Compartment Lid Cylinders

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.
Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.

Disconnect wire harness.

1. 1.1. Cut tie-wrap -1- .
2. 1.2. Release plug connection -A- and disconnect it -B- .
  Information
  - During assembly work, get another person to hold the lid open.
Loosen safety clips on the hydraulic cylinder -2- using a suitable tool -arrow- .

Remove hydraulic cylinder -2- and place it in the vehicle.
Release retaining clips -1- on the microswitches and pull them off -A- .

Remove microswitch from hydraulic cylinder -2- .
