Installing Microswitch For Rear Side Section Flap

  1. Press rear side section flap at the left -1-  to its center position.

  2. Guide lower microswitch (long connecting line) in between the flap -1-  and flap guide -2-  (-A-  ).
  3. Position lower microswitch -1-  on the guide pin and fit a new spring clamp -2-  using a suitable tool.

    1. 3.1. Press rear side section flap up if necessary.
  4. Clip wire harness -3-  into the bracket. Check that the wires are routed correctly.
  5. Press rear side section flap at the left to its lower end position.
  6. Clip wire harness into the brackets -3-  . Check that the wires are routed correctly.

  7. Position upper microswitch -1-  on the guide pin and fit a new spring clamp -2-  using a suitable tool.
  8. Secure wire harness.

    1. 8.1. Clip wire harness into the brackets -2-  .
    2. 8.2. Secure wire harness with a tie-wrap -1-  .

      Information 

      Before installing the flap motor, the rear side section flaps must be fully retracted (lower end position) to ensure synchronous operation.

  9. Press both rear side section flaps to their lower end position.
  10. Install flap motor.

    1. 10.1. Place flap motor -4-  on the guide pin.
    2. 10.2. Turn flap motor -4-  slightly until the pinion engages.
    3. 10.3. Tighten fastening screws -3-  . Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.) 
  11. Plug in electric plug connection -2-  on the flap motor -4-  until the connector engages securely.
  12. Plug in electric plug connection -1-  for wire harness for flaps until the connector engages securely.
