Information
- New parking-brake shoes and new brake discs must be grinded down.
- Grinding down applies only to grey cast-iron brakes with one-piece brake discs.
- There is no need to grind down grey cast-iron brakes on 911 Turbo (991) and 911 GT3 (991) vehicles because compound brake discs with aluminum brake disc hubs are installed.
- PCCB brake discs/parking-brake shoes do not need to be grinded down.
- It is not necessary to grind down the parking-brake shoes if the parking-brake shoes are not replaced . Set the brake shoes to the basic setting if necessary and calibrate the brakes → 468316 ADJUSTING AND CALIBRATING PARKING-BRAKE SHOES .
- Adjust and calibrate the parking-brake shoes. → 468316 ADJUSTING AND CALIBRATING PARKING-BRAKE SHOES .
Grind down the parking-brake shoes during adjustment and calibration if necessary.
- Fit wheel.
