Preliminary Work

  1. Drain refrigerant from the air-conditioning system.

    → 870317 DRAINING AND FILLING REFRIGERANT

  2. Remove cowl panel covering.

  3. Remove plenum panel cover.

    → 852219 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING PLENUM PANEL COVER

  4. Remove rear profile seal.

  5. Remove air box for left air cleaner.

  6. Remove underbody panelling.

  7. Drain coolant.

  8. Remove exhaust system.

    → 260119 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING EXHAUST SYSTEM

  9. Remove cardan shaft.

    → 393519 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING REAR CARDAN SHAFT

  10. Remove brake calliper, but do not remove the brake line.

    Suspend brake calliper in the wheel housing with a tie-wrap or a piece of wire.

  11. Disconnect battery ground strap.

  12. Remove front part of front wheel housing liner at both sides.

    → 505619 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER

  13. Remove front left wheel housing liner completely on vehicles with PDCC.

  14. Lower the vehicle.
