Removing Cross Panel
Information
- The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
- The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
- Some steps must be carried out automatically.
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.
- Unscrew fastening screw -1-
on the cross panel -2-
.
Remove fastening clamp -3- on the cross panel.
The fastening clamp cannot be removed without damaging it and must be replaced.
- Disconnect wire harness -1-
at the fixing clips -A, B & C-
in direction of arrow.
- 2.1. Pull vacuum line -2- off the vacuum hose -3- in direction of arrow -D- .
- Press vacuum hose -1- together using a suitable tool -arrows A- and disconnect it from the cross panel -2- (-arrow B- ).
- Disconnect coolant hoses.
- 4.1. Clamp coolant hoses on both sides using hose clamps.
- 4.2. Loosen retaining clip -arrows- and pull off coolant hoses for heating -1- and -2- on the cross panel -3- .
- 4.3. Absorb and wipe off emerging coolant with a cloth.
- Remove cross panel by pulling it upwards.
