Removing Spring Strut Mount

  1. Remove wing bracket.

    Information 

    Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

    1. 1.1. Drill out spotwelds -A-  using spotweld drill  .
    2. 1.2. Grind down welded seams -arrows-  .

  2. Remove reinforcements.

    Information 

    Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

    1. 2.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill  .
    2. 2.2. Make a rough cut -1-  .
    3. 2.3. Mark and make cut -2-  . → Distance: 80 mm 
    4. 2.4. Grind down welded seam -A-  .

  3. Heat bonding areas.
    1. 3.1. Remove reinforcements.

  4. Remove remaining piece of upper reinforcement -1-  .

    Information 

    Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

    1. 4.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill  .

      Information

  5. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill  .

  6. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill  .

    1. 6.1. Grind down welded seams -arrows-  .

  7. Drill out spotwelds -A-  from the inside.

  8. Drill out spotwelds on lower part of plenum panel using spotweld drill  .

  9. Heat bonding areas.
    1. 9.1. Remove lower part of plenum panel.

      Information

  10. Drill out spotwelds -A-  using spotweld drill  .

  11. Heat bonding areas.
    1. 11.1. Remove spring strut mount.
