Installing Headlights

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayenne, and 2014 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Information 

When installing the headlight, the locking bar must press the retaining spring down fully. If the spring is not pressed and held down fully by the locking bar:

  1. Guide the headlight into the wing, plug in connector -arrow-  and then slide the headlight fully into the wing.

  2. Lock the headlight.
    1. 2.1. Press the headlight to the rear and turn the socket wrench on the left headlight (in direction of travel) anti-clockwise as far as it will go -arrow-  and turn the socket wrench on the right headlight clockwise as far as it will go -arrow-  to lock the headlight.

      The headlight locking mechanism must engage perceptibly and with an audible click.

      Information 

      The headlight is locked correctly if the lug -arrow-  of the headlight lock is outside the cover panel. The lug must be facing forward (in direction of travel).

    2. 2.2. Check that the headlight is locked correctly.
    3. 2.3. Check that the headlight is seated securely.

  3. Remove adhesive tape.
  4. Remove the socket wrench and store it in the tool kit.
  5. Close the front lid.
