Securing Engine On Assembly Support

- The engine needs to be suspended on an assembly support for certain repair work.
Information
- A modified engine support is used for the Panamera because of the Start/Stop starter and the all-wheel drive engine 4 WD.
- The turbo engine, including the flywheel and front-axle final drive, weighs about 290 kg. To avoid overloading the engine support, make sure that there are no additional loads (e.g. heavy components stored in the vehicle or a person sitting in the vehicle).
- Secure engine support engine support 9676/1 to the engine. To do this, use the four screws mounting parts 9590 and tighten them. → Engine support Bend the heat protection panel on the front-axle final drive on the turbo engine aside slightly if necessary (collision).
- Move engine in front of the engine support (assembly support) using the workshop crane and guide it in with the help of a second worker. Lift the engine so that it can be eased in horizontally. → Engine crane and engine on assembly support
