Removing front lid release

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment  .
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant  .
• Some steps must be carried out automatically  .
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .

1. Remove retaining clip -1-  and pull off release handle -2-  .
2. Remove front inner door sill trim -3-  . → 680519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT INNER DOOR SILL TRIM

3. Unscrew fastening screw -3-  .
4. Unclip operating cable -4-  from the release mechanism -1-  and disengage ball joint.
5. Unclip release mechanism -1-  on the body.
6. Disengage wire harness -2-  at the release mechanism -1-  and remove release mechanism -1-  .
