Removing Upper Part Of Lock Carrier

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
• Some steps must be carried out automatically.
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.

1. Unclip lid lock cable from the bracket and disengage it. → 551419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CABLE FOR FRONT LID LOCK
2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  on the lock carrier and body.
3. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  on the transverse strut.
4. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  on cooling-air flaps.

5. Actuate release and pull out fastening plug -1-  .
6. Unclip wire harness -3-  on upper part of lock carrier -2-  .

7. Push upper part of lock carrier forward, guide the guide out of the radiator and remove it.
