Vibration damper for transfer gear

Information 

Remove transfer gear with vibration damper.

• The vibration damper cannot be removed from the transfer gear without damaging it  .
• The vibration damper must always be replaced following removal  .
• Read and follow installation instructions for vibration damper  .

1. Pull vibration damper -1-  off the transfer gear -2-  using puller WE 1755 -4-  .

   The next steps are described using the puller VAS 251 417.

   1. 1.1. Drill 2 holes with a nominal diameter of 8.5 spaced → Length: 60 mm  apart in the vibration damper.
   2. 1.2. Cut M10 thread in the holes on the vibration damper.
   3. 1.3. Screw in pull stud and remove vibration damper.

2. Remove dowel sleeve -1-  and protective cover.
   1. 2.1. Pull off dowel sleeve -1-  using the puller WE 1755 -2-  and separating device WE 1635 -3-  as shown.

3. Secure protective cover on the dowel sleeve.
4. Press dowel sleeve onto the transfer gear with max. 2 tons  .
   1. 4.1. Press on dowel sleeve -1-  and protective cover -2-  using pressure piece 9234  (or drift sleeve 30100  ) -3-  on the workshop press WE 1566  .

5. Install vibration damper -1-  .
   1. 5.1. Fit vibration damper -1-  onto pressure piece 9881/2 -3-  .
   2. 5.2. Drift sleeve 30-100 -4-  must be inserted into the transfer gear -2-  .
   3. 5.3. Press transfer gear -2-  onto vibration damper -1 -  using the press.
