5. Seal fresh cut in area -A-  with body sealing compound.

6. Seal fresh cut in area -E-  with body sealant → BODY SEALANT 000.043.303.60 and smooth it off.

   1. 6.1. Coat area -A-  with body sealant.

      If the sealing specifications are not observed, there is a higher risk of water leaking in  at the tailgate. The following overview shows the positions on the rear lid -A, B, C-  at which additional sealing measures are required.

7. Coat the areas of the rear lid shown with body sealant → BODY SEALANT 000.043.207.67.

8. Rework the rear lid at certain points on the cut-out for the tail light.

   1. 8.1. Apply body sealant → BODY SEALANT 000.043.303.60 as shown as an example and spread it out evenly.
   2. 8.2. Spread the body sealant → BODY SEALANT 000.043.303.60 towards the edges in order to guarantee leak-tightness. Smooth out even the smallest holes.
9. A leak test must be carried out on the rear lid after applying the seam seal. To do this, follow the instructions for carrying out the leak test in the document → WE9000 WE90 Workshop campaign - Checking rear lid and reworking it if necessary  .

10. Coat area -I-  with body sealant.
