Removing motor for glass sliding roof

→ Switch off electric power to drive motor.

→ Make sure it does not switch on again.

→ Check that there is no electric charge.

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work  .
• Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation  .
• Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts  .

Information 

The glass sliding roof motor is located on the glass sliding roof frame at the front.

The sun blind motor is located on the glass sliding roof frame at the rear.

The control units for the panorama roof system are installed in the glass sliding roof motor and sun blind motor.

1. Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.
2. Pull out locking mechanism on electric plug connection -1-  (-a-  ), press release -b-  and pull electric plug connection off the motor for the glass sliding roof -2-  .
3. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove motor for glass sliding roof -2-  from the glass sliding roof frame.
