Installing wire harness for tailgate at the right

  1. Installation is performed in reverse order to removal.
    1. 1.1. Do not twist or entangle the individual strands of the wire harness for tailgate at the right.
    2. 1.2. Check that the wire harness is routed correctly and without tension so that no chafing occurs.
    3. 1.3. Connect all electric plug connections until they engage securely.
    4. 1.4. Lock all electric plug connections by hand using the manual slide lock.
    5. 1.5. Tighten fastening nut for the ground strap at the roof pillar. Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ft. lb.) 
    6. 1.6. Tighten fastening nut for the ground strap at the tailgate. Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ft. lb.) 
    7. 1.7. Tighten fastening screw for the ground strap at the tailgate. Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ft. lb.)
