Removing battery

→ Do not rub the battery with a dry cloth.

→ Always connect charging cables/jump leads to the external power supply for jump-lead starting.

Information 

Switch off all loads and remove the ignition key.

• Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running  .
• Disconnect and re-connect battery with extreme caution  .

1. Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.
2. Lift carpet -1-  .
3. Disengage cover -2-  and fold it forward.

4. Danger of short circuit when loosening the terminal clamps! 
   1. 4.1. First  open the cover on the negative terminal and disconnect terminal clamp -1- for the ground line from the battery terminal! 
   2. 4.2. Insulate terminal clamp or route ground strap to prevent any contact with the battery terminal!
   3. 4.3. Open cover on the positive terminal and disconnect terminal clamp -2-  for the B+ line from the battery terminal.

5. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  , remove clamp support -2-  and move it forward with a rebound strap.

6. Disengage cover -1-  and remove it.

7. Pull breather hose -1-  off the battery -2-  .
8. Bend up support clips -3-  and lift the battery out. Get another person to help if necessary.
