Installing Guide Sleeve

Clean the guide sleeve, transmission input shaft and release lever with brake cleaner, for example, particularly at the lubrication points before re-installation.
Install guide sleeve -1- .
1. 2.1. Install guide sleeve -1- over the transmission input shaft -arrow- .

2. 2.2. Install cover -2- .
3. 2.3. Fit fastening screws -1- on the cover -2- and tighten to Tightening Torque 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) .

Grease contact surfaces and lubrication points.
1. 3.1. Apply a thin coating of "Kluberalfa HM83-801" on the guide sleeve.
2. 3.2. Grease the splines of the transmission input shaft with "Longtime 3EP".
3. 3.3. Grease the contact points on the release lever -arrows- with a light coating of "Kluberalfa HM83-801".

Install release lever -3- with release bearing.
1. 4.1. Position release lever -3- with release bearing.
2. 4.2. Install retaining bracket -2- .
3. 4.3. Fit fastening screw -1- on the retaining bracket -2- and tighten to Tightening Torque 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.) .
