Removing Wheel

Information 

• On vehicles with PCCB, use two assembly aids (threaded pins for fitting wheel) in order to rule out any possibility of heavy contact of the wheel with the brake disc! 
• The assembly aids should be obtained from the Porsche Parts Service (Part No. 999.571.074.30)! 
• Vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring system (TPM): Every new set of wheels or wheel change must be communicated to the control unit (even if the new wheels have the same specifications as the old ones). To do this, select >>Tire pressure, Settings, Tire type and Tire size<< in the main menu on the instrument cluster and confirm your selection. The control unit then stores these values while the vehicle is driving (at more than 25 km/h (16 mph)). The current tire pressure is not available during this time  .

→ Use two assembly pins when removing and fitting the wheel.

→ Carefully guide the wheel towards the wheel hub, thereby preventing any heavy impact on the (ceramic) brake disc.

1. Remove the wheel. Never use an impact bolter to loosen the wheel bolts!

   1. 1.1. On vehicles with PCCB (ceramic brake discs), unscrew two wheel bolts that are not next to each other.
   2. 1.2. Replace the two removed wheel bolts with assembly aids -1-  .
   3. 1.3. Unscrew the remaining wheel bolts.
   4. 1.4. Carefully take off the wheel.
