Removing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

- Risk of damage to the vehicle
Danger Of Chemical Burns
→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.
→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Risk of damage to ATF pan.
→ Use the entire surface of the ATF pan as the contact surface.
Information
Check that the guide sleeves between the transmission flange and engine flange remain in the engine flange.
- Release electric plug connection -1- on the crankshaft hall sender -2- and pull it off.
- Turn the housing of the electric plug connections -1- (-A- ) and pull it off -B- .
- Release and unplug electric plug connection -1, 3- .
- Unclip fixing clip -2- on electric wire harness at the transmission.
- Pull off locks -2- (-arrows- ) and disconnect coolant hoses -1- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove transverse strut -2- .
- Position unit elevating platform -2- with a suitable foam support -1- under the engine.
- Carefully lower the transmission and engine.
- Pull the vacuum hose -1- off the vacuum line -2- .
- Unscrew fastening screw -3-
, remove bracket with change-over valves and set it aside.
NOTE: Mechanical overload of components
- Component will be damaged irreparably
→ Observe guidelines for assembly and disassembly
- Remove Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
- 11.1. Loosen and unscrew screws in the following sequence: -1- and -2- , then -3- and -5- and finally -4- .
- 11.2. Lower the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
- 11.3. Remove Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) by pulling it backwards and drain it.
