Removing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

  • Risk of squashing or crushing
  • Risk of damage to the vehicle

Danger Of Chemical Burns 

→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.

→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.

→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.

→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.

→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.

WARNING: Caustic fluids
  • Danger of chemical burns

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

NOTE: Transmission jack positioned incorrectly.
  • Risk of damage to ATF pan.

→ Use the entire surface of the ATF pan as the contact surface.

Information 

Check that the guide sleeves between the transmission flange and engine flange remain in the engine flange.

  1. Release electric plug connection -1-  on the crankshaft hall sender -2-  and pull it off.

  2. Turn the housing of the electric plug connections -1-  (-A-  ) and pull it off -B-  .

  3. Release and unplug electric plug connection -1, 3-  .
  4. Unclip fixing clip -2-  on electric wire harness at the transmission.

  6. Pull off locks -2-  (-arrows-  ) and disconnect coolant hoses -1-  .

  7. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove transverse strut -2-  .

  8. Position unit elevating platform -2-  with a suitable foam support -1-  under the engine.

  9. Carefully lower the transmission and engine.
  10. Pull the vacuum hose -1-  off the vacuum line -2-  .
  11. Unscrew fastening screw -3-  , remove bracket with change-over valves and set it aside.

    NOTE: Mechanical overload of components
    • Component will be damaged irreparably

    → Observe guidelines for assembly and disassembly

  12. Remove Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
    1. 11.1. Loosen and unscrew screws in the following sequence: -1-  and -2-  , then -3-  and -5-  and finally -4-  .
    2. 11.2. Lower the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
    3. 11.3. Remove Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) by pulling it backwards and drain it.
